3 Day Military Diet To Lose 10 Pounds in 3 Day

3 day military diet or 3 day diet is one of the effective diet of losing pounds if a short time. You must eat just what is listed. Nothing more, nothing less.

This diet tested by many people who lost pounds and get in a quick shape. Personally, I wasn’t able to lose 10 pounds (4.5 kg) rapidly. I was desperate to find something that works.

Anyway, 3 day military diet is beneficial for the health and it could be repeated after a four-day break. Actually, exercise is optional, but I’m sure it does not hurt.

Personally, I exercise daily the diet, but, I always keep in my mind to do not overdosing. I walked on my treadmill for 30 minutes every day, with a small amount of food.

Water: It’s the only thing that you’re allowed to drink on this 3 day military diet (other beverages like coffee or tea on one day is probably accepted ). I recommend a drink, at least, a gallon of water daily. It reduces somehow hunger. Indeed, it is very healthy.

The rules:

  • No more eating between meals
  • No more seasonings other salt and pepper

Military Diet

The 3 Day Military Diet Menu Plan:

Day 1:

  • Breakfast: 1/2 grapefruit, 1 slice toast, 2 tbs. peanut butter, 1 cup coffee or Tea (I prefer to use Detox Tea).
  • Lunch: 1/2 cup tuna, 1 slice toast, 1 cups Coffee or Tea.
  • Dinner: 2 slices any type of meat about 3 ounce, 1 cup green beans, 1/2 banana, small apple, 1 cup vanilla ice cream.

Day 2:

  • Breakfast: 1 egg, 1 slice toast, 1/2 banana.
  • Lunch: 1 cup cottage cheese or slice cheddar cheese, 1 hard boiled egg, 5 saltine crackers.
  • Dinner: 2 hot dogs, 1 cup broccoli, 1/2 cup carrots, 1/2 banana, 1/2 cup vanilla ice cream.

Day 3:

  • Breakfast: 5 soda crackers, 1 slice cheddar cheese, 1 small apple.
  • Lunch: 1 hard boiled egg, 1 slice toast.
  • Dinner: 1 cup tuna, 1/2 banana, 1 cup vanilla ice cream.

In the 3 days of the diet, you should lose 10 pounds (i lost 9 pounds. I am very happy with the results of this diet. It gave me hope that there’s something that will work for me. It gave me a boost of confidence and self esteem.)

Military Diet Substitutions:

Hot Dog. Dieters can have tofu dogs, soy dogs, turkey dogs, baloney instead of hot dogs. But for the vegetarians, you can have lentils or portobello mushrooms.

Tuna. People usually say no for the canned tuna, but it’s among the major aspects of the diet. To get the best substitute for the tuna, you should essay: Cottage cheese, Tofu, Almonds, Chickens.

3 day military diet substitute for grapefruit . You can substitute baking soda for grapefruit for the military diet. You just mix 1/2 tablespoon of baking soda into water and drink it. Half tablespoon of baking soda with water will aid you to get the same effect like the grapefruit in the military diet plan.

Peanut Butter. Does not like peanut butter because of its taste or allergic effect. But we replace the diet to get the same effect by Pumpkin Butter, Almond Butter, Soy Butter, Sunflower seed butter or bean dip. This choices can be taken as a great military diet substitution for peanut butter.

Coffee. Substitute coffee, you can have a green tea. Also, you can have sugar-free hot cocoa made with water.

Banana. You can substitute different fruits for a banana. You can have 2 kiwis, 1 cup of papaya, two apricots, grapes, apple sauce.

Meat. For the vegetarians, you can have tofu, beans, and lentils to get the perfect military diet substitutions.

Substitute for green beans on the military diet. Lettuce, tomatoes, spinach or any leafy vegetables can be substituted for green beans.

Broccoli. Greenish vegetables like cauliflower, brussels sprouts, spinach, and asparagus.

Carrot. Squash, beets, parsnip, bell pepper and celery can be taken besides carrot.

Egg. We can substitute eggs for one cup of milk, 2 slices of bacon, one chicken wing or 1/4 cup of nuts. Peanuts and almond butter will be the choices here for the vegetarians.

Military diet cheddar cheese substitute . Ham, cottage cheese and eggs are the best substitution for cheddar cheese. And if you’re a vegetarian then go for soy milk, cabbage, and tofu.

Cottage Cheese. Eggs, ham, ricotta cheese, cheddar cheese, plain Greek yogurt can be used for military diet substitution instead of cottage cheese. Tofu and almond butter will be a good option for the vegetarians.

Apple. Pears, dry apricots, peaches, plums can be a good substitution for an apple. As well, carrot can be the another alternative.

Saltine Crackers. Rice cake matched as a perfect substitution but you should ensure that the calories remain the same.

Ice cream. Substitute ice-cream, you can have apple juice or fruit-flavored yogurt. One cup of fruit flavored yogurt will be a perfect match for replacing ice cream.

How can the foods of this diet help you drop pounds?

Grapefruit. It’s low in calories and rich in vitamin C and is said to induce weight loss when eaten before a meal.

Caffeine. Induces the rmogenesis (increases metabolism) in the body, thus, helps in weight loss.

Peanut Butter. Has a low glycemic index (doesn’t cause a sudden spike in blood sugar level after consumption). It breaks down slowly in the stomach so you feel fuller for longer.

Tuna. Is rich in omega-3 fatty acids (a type of fat) which is beneficial to the heart. It’s too known to modulate satiety (make you feel less hungry).

Apple. Is low in calories and is packed with antioxidants and nutrients, therefore, them makes a very healthy snack when you’re on a diet.

Ice Cream And Cheese. This foods are high in calories but contain the nutrients of milk. Dairy products are said to aid in body fat reduction.8 Having ice cream every so often can help reduce your sugar cravings, which can cause you to binge eat.

Green Beans, Broccoli, And Carrots. High in nutrients and fiber. A high fiber intake is associated with a lower body mass index.

Meat, Banana, And Eggs. This foods are rich in protein and nutrients. Them may be beneficial to replace refined carbohydrate with proteins that are low in saturated fat when you prefer to lose some weight. It is advisable to limit the consumption of these food items as they’re packed with calories.
